Meet Jason


Jason Allen is a conservative Republican from Traverse City, Michigan. He currently serves as Vice President of Captain’s Quarters, a successful clothing store and family owned business. As a small business owner and job provider, Allen has a unique, personal and fundamental understanding of the regulatory, financial and taxation challenges which hurt our economy and hinder the private sector’s ability to create better paying jobs.

Allen recently served as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency where he assisted veterans to manage relationships with the Michigan legislature, local governments and social agencies. He is a Veteran himself and served in the Michigan National Guard as an E4 specialist. Allen has devoted much of his life to service to the community.

Allen has served on the Great Lakes Community Health Board and the Northwestern Michigan Council of Governments, a 10 county multi-jurisdictional agency dedicated to law enforcement, planning and economic development. Jason Allen is a member of the Central United Methodist Church.

Allen is an Eagle Scout and has spent a majority of his life involved in scouting, serving on the President Ford Executive Board and counseling merit badges. He is pro-life, supports lower taxes and less government and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.

Allen has signed the Americans for Tax Reform pledge to not raise taxes. Allen is a sportsman and is a member of the Ducks Unlimited, Michigan Whitetails, the Ruffed Grouse Society, the American Legion and a Life Member of the NRA. Jason Allen served two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives and two terms as a State Senator.

Jason Allen has been married to his wife Suzanne for 23 years and they have three children. Allen attended Northwestern Michigan College and then transferred to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, earning a Bachelor’s degree in finance.
